Thank you to Jeffery for sending me a copy of this book for review. I read Jeffery's debut novel Clockwork Heart last year and loved it, so I was looking forward to the next installment from him and it did not disappoint.
I love how although Jeffery's novels are so short, you get to see so much into the character's lives as he straight away makes you engage with them, like and support them. By the end of the novel you feel like you have been on a 300 page long journey with them in just 40. Although this is essentially a love story, Jeffery touches on a quite difficult subject but such a powerful way that you don't feel sad, you just support the characters more and want them to get through it.
In a way I do wish the book was slightly longer as I hadn't seen enough of Lauren and Brody, but at the same time we see the perfect amount, we see their love beginning and we see events that shake them and how they recover from it.

I don't want to give too much away as it is one of those books you just need to read and as it is so short even the busiest of people can find time to read it. I am already looking forward to ready Jeffery's next novel.
